ABOUT Maya

I look forward to meeting you. I love people, and my most deeply held belief is that people are good and more people together are better. I set out to build a career (and a life) that proves it. Every day.

I want to spend the rest of that career and life inviting people to realize the incredible power they have to build community, save lives and create hope all around them. I also love celebrating them when they do! 

For the past twenty years, I've worked to do exactly that as the first Executive Director of Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation and the Chief Executive Officer of Mobilize.org. I have spent more than half of my life building relationships and partnerships that benefit people across the globe and meet critical unmet needs. 

For that, I've won some awards (thank you, Anthem Awards, Presidential Leadership Scholars, Prime Movers Fellowship, NGEN Fellowship, and more), traveled the world (thank you, Delta) and worked with some of the most inspiring, innovative people in the world (hi, Friends!).
